Brett Monello serves as Vice President of Business Development for Avnera where he focuses on strategic technology relationships and co-development partners. Brett brings more than thirty years of broad-based, cross functional, transactional and general management experience from computer systems, semiconductor, and software companies.
After graduating from Stanford University, Brett analyzed investment opportunities for TA Associates. Brett ran production lines and implemented quality systems for Mips Computer Systems which was acquired by Silicon Graphics (SGI). At SGI he led multiple system implementation and business process reengineering programs before heading up marketing for their $600 million services business.
As a co-founder of Mobilian, a venture-backed fabless semiconductor company, Brett served in multiple marketing, engineering, and operational roles before the company was acquired by Intel. Brett helped Pixelworks acquire new technologies through both license and acquisition, launched products in new market segments, and managed business units providing video processing systems-on-chip to television and projector manufacturers. As CEO of Concero, a transactional software and services company in the health insurance sector, Brett engineered an exit via multiple asset purchases after growing the company by diversifying into adjacent markets and acquiring complementary technology.
Brett received a BA in economics from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
